There are better ways to get around. As severe as it may seem, collapse and devastation force creative change. Here’s just one example of the exciting future:

Even so, here in Southern California, startup companies that will retrofit just about any manufacturer’s vehicles as natural gas/plugin electric hybrids are still doing well. Green technology is a budding industry that is just the next chapter in American prosperity. Our citizens still have much to offer.
So my rave about my fellow Americans is that we have a history of rising to the challenge. Sure, it may seem today that the Biblical prophecy of doom is at our doorstep. “Collapsing economy,” undereducated citizens, bad politics, greedy businessmen, blah blah blah. These things have always been with us and will always be with us. I’m optimistic that America’s best years are still ahead of us.
